After gaining over a decade of experience in marketing and customer service throughout undergraduate and law school, Samantha began her legal career as an associate for a large insurance defense firm where she gained litigation experience defending insurers in automobile accidents, securities fraud, toxic torts, employment, dram shop, catastrophic injuries and business litigation. 

In making the decision to open her own practice over three years ago, the driving factor for Samantha was the freedom of choice as to both the client and the types of cases.  Ultimately, her passion lies in fighting for the fundamental rights of her clients and overcoming the injustices and barriers often imposed by large corporations and insurance companies. The opportunity to defend insurance companies provided Samantha valuable insight into the insurance industry as well as a practical perspective of the big picture in her assessment of cases which allows her to tailor a strategy and course of action to each unique client.  On the other hand, as a sole practitioner, the ability to turn away the quintessential cases that perpetuate the misconception of “working the system” allows her to maintain integrity and respect. 

In her career endeavors, she hopes to make a positive impact on the general perception of lawyers and the legal field. Through the development of long-term client relationships, she strives to embody the motto of her alma mater, Willamette University:

“Non nobis solum nati sumus — Not unto ourselves alone are we born.”
